




Tanya Holt
Tanya Holt is a singing teacher, singer, producer and satirical songwriter working mostly in cabaret and in musical theatre. Her self-penned 90-minute song cycle Cautionary Tales for Daughters was described in The Times as ‘Think Hilaire Belloc does Caitlin Moran’ and ‘gut- punchingly beautiful’; The Stage called it ‘razor-sharp... beautifully performed’.
As a singer she is best known as one half of the cabaret duo ShooShooBaby, who have been appreciated by audiences internationally.

Tanya began teaching singing in 2009 and continues to work with people of all ages and at all levels, from hobbyists to aspiring and established professionals. She is extremely interested in vocal science and the bio-mechanics of producing sound and a firm believer that anyone can learn how to sing well.
Based in southeast London, she lives with her cat Sir Gary and daughter Dotty. Too Embarrassed to Sing is her first book.
